Dr. Mike Yeadon : The blood pressure lowering, anticholesterol, antidepressant drugs, etc. "I hadn’t realised how young they start trawling for victims."

Disclaimer : I’m not a medical doctor and this is not medical advice, merely a summary of my personal opinions.
My re-education since 2020 included listening to a consultant cardiologist explaining the fraudulent basis of over-prescribing blood pressure lowering preparations and cholesterol lowering preparations. Fortunately you don’t need to rely upon my relayed summaries of the fraud, because Suavek has added some excellent reviews by another, well-informed medical doctor.
I stand by my remarks about the so-called health system. The less you interact with it, the less the opportunity for it to harm you or worse.
There are exceptions & these are mine:
1. Treatment of acute trauma including relief of intolerable pain.
2. Treatment of bacterial or fungal infections (I’m aware of significant controversy in this field, too, the difference vs “viruses” being that nobody disputes the existence of a bacteria or fungi, only to what extent they’re disease-causing).
3. Guidance & potential interventions in matters obstetric & gynaecological (depending upon your level of concern about home births, which were the norm when I was born in U.K. (1960).
1 & 2 also apply to paediatrics.
I don’t do regular check-ups (I’m not a car) or “early screening” (these programs are a net medical harm to the population). I don’t “Know my numbers” nor have I any interest in them. Personally, I’m not inclined to attempt to “cure me of cancer” if I should succumb. Each to their own. We’re all going to die. It’s normal. The quality of my life is more important to me than it’s length.
Most cues & habits associated with good health are outside of the bailiwick of medicine.
The U.K. NHS has, in my opinion, become a monster & is weaponised against us in a number of ways. It’s not a coincidence that it’s structured the way it is.
If it was closed overnight & not replaced, I expect the health of the nation would improve. The good that could be done is a minority of its activities. Obviously such changes are not going to happen. On the contrary, I expect the NHS to encroach further upon our lives. It’s possible it’ll feature in a wearable vs implanted monitoring system push in the future.
Best wishes,
Mike

We probably all have stories of how our GP sought to get us onto one or other (or several) of the now almost traditional “medicines for life” (blood pressure lowering, anticholesterol, antidepressant drugs).
None of these have good datasets demonstrating that long term use is a net benefit to the person taking them.
I hadn’t realised how young they start trawling for victims. Our local pharmacist’s waiting area features adverts like “Over 40 & not on a blood pressure lowering medication? See your doctor now”.
My wife’s GP used to push these drug classes at her at every encounter.
It’s unsurprising to find that GP still lining up people of all ages for the mRNA injections, despite warnings from me, initially verbally and later in writing, why she should not do so.
Not only is she harming people who trust her, but she’s helping to install a dystopian hell on earth in which she too will be trapped.
Her new German SUV isn’t going to do her any good then.
In addition to stupidity, greed and possibly evil (my own hunch is that the first two characteristics were sufficient) she’s unable to think about the future implications of what she’s mired in.
Same with trolls and assorted fools online, still maintaining whatever they were trained to say online years ago, for money.
Our current rule of thumb is to keep the hell away from all parts of the “healthcare system”.

The Great Blood Pressure Scam
Exploring the Forgotten Causes and Treatments of Hypertension and the Dangers of BP Medications
Jul 30, 2024

"•Aggressively treating everyone’s blood pressure is justified under the belief it prevents cardiovascular disease. However, in most cases it has never been proven to reduce heart disease—rather it only leads to a small reduction in strokes (hence why these medications were rebranded to treat “cardiovascular disease”).
•Many of the misunderstandings with heart disease arise from the fact that impaired circulation or damage to the blood vessels will cause blood pressure to go up and their correlation being misinterpreted to instead believe high blood pressure causes cardiovascular disease.
•In this article, we will discuss the actual causes of high blood pressure, the dangers of commonly used blood pressure medications, the safest pharmaceutical and natural ways to reduce blood pressure directly, and our preferred methods for treating the underlying causes of high blood pressure."

Inverted Causality
Frequently, when you dig into medical myths, you discover that many of the dogmas myths that underlie a popular drug are actually sales slogans a marketing company created. For instance, Dr. Kory and RFK Jr. recently shared my article about statins, which went viral on Twitter because so many have been harmed by that marketing myth.

“High” Blood Pressure
25 Questions & Answers

( … )
What is the fundamental untruth?
The fundamental untruth that has been told to the population regarding blood pressure is that lower blood pressure is always better and that aggressively lowering blood pressure with medications is universally beneficial for cardiovascular health.
In simple terms, we've been led to believe that high blood pressure is like a ticking time bomb in our bodies that needs to be defused at all costs. However, the reality is more complex. Blood pressure, like many aspects of our health, exists on a spectrum where both too high and too low can be problematic. The idea that everyone should strive for the same low blood pressure target ignores individual differences and the potential risks of overtreatment.
Moreover, the focus on blood pressure numbers alone is misleading. The underlying health of our blood vessels and overall cardiovascular system is more important than achieving a specific blood pressure number. In many cases, slightly elevated blood pressure is the body's way of ensuring adequate blood flow, especially as we age and our arteries naturally become less flexible.
This oversimplification has led to overdiagnosis and overtreatment, exposing many people, especially older adults, to unnecessary medications and their side effects without clear evidence of benefit in many cases.

‘Suffering From Dysfunction’: House Committee on Oversight Grills Top FDA Official on COVID Shots, Avian Flu
“It seems that the goal of Big Pharma is to get people hooked for life on their products, whether it be annual flu or COVID-19 vaccines, perpetual statins to lower cholesterol, beta blockers for high blood pressure or expensive, never-ending cancer treatments.” — Rep. Paul Gosar

Music Tuned to 440 Hz Versus 432 Hz and the Health Effects: A Double-blind Cross-over Pilot Study
“( … )
Results: 432 Hz tuned music was associated with a slight decrease of mean (systolic and diastolic) blood pressure values (although not significant), a marked decrease in the mean of heart rate (-4.79 bpm, p = 0.05) and a slight decrease of the mean respiratory rate values (1 r.a., p = 0.06), compared to 440 Hz. The subjects were more focused about listening to music and more generally satisfied after the sessions in which they listened to 432 Hz tuned music.
Conclusions: The data suggests that 432 Hz tuned music can decrease heart rate more than 440 Hz tuned music. The study results suggest repeating the experiment with a larger sample pool and introducing randomized controlled trials covering more clinical parameters.

Staying away from the medical system IS health care.
It wasn't until recently that I learned how essential cholesterol is. We need it to make vitamin D from sunlight, amongst other things, and if it is too low it can interfere in reproduction. Mmm. Makes you wonder, doesn't it.
