Last night I decided to watch a movie. I started with one called Knives Out, with the now familiar anarchic humour and discontinuous plotting of our era. Boredom soon won out over prurient curiosity and I turned it off then erased it.
Next I tried something called Seven Psychopaths and...well...boredom soon won out over prurient etc.
Anyway, I was put in mind of the first time I saw Musk's roadster in space. It was shoddiness vying with cheesiness for the title of all-time silliest. That was a moment I realised something very important and very encouraging. Our opponents, despite their stupendous reach and resources, have no taste, no judgement, no common sense...and above all, no love.
That's right. The globsters lack the most powerful thing, love. What they do have to drive them along is the second most powerful thing, a negative thing. This is a source of enormous energy, but it is a source which must fail.
The globsters have only a hated god called BOREDOM. They are themselves boring and they are bored. Their lives are like watching a Mars Rover on Devon Island with a cheesy light filter to make things more Marsy. I know they have made a hell of a mess and they are about to make an even greater mess, with tragic results for many of us. But they can't win. They haven't got the motor.
The "useless eliter" want to gain unlimited power through digital technology. A psychopath does not know human nature. He knows neither himself nor other people. But a claim to despotic power cannot actually work because it contradicts the nature of a human being. For such psychopaths, it seems to be a convenient idea that an invisible enemy, such as AI, as a substitute for government, cannot be fought with pitchforks. But people will learn to reorganize themselves and ignore AI. Anything that goes against human nature cannot have a long-term chance of survival. Those who can love can also become very angry.
