The stupidity of self-censorship recently celebrated its 200th anniversary -PART 2. Dr. Mike Yeadon: "We don’t need leaders, be one yourself." And what did Immanuel Kant say about it ?
The true concept of enlightenment was intentionally defamed.

I second the sentiments in this tweet. I too welcome the newly speaking out, yet remain disappointed at how few said anything when it could have been much more consequential.
We’re historically & culturally used to look out for leadership, for heroes etc.
However, I don’t think it’s possible for genuine leaders to emerge.
Censorship is so widespread and frankly effective that, if the perpetrators don’t want to allow an influential person or group to gain momentum and gather up supporters / followers / activists, they can easily tamp down on it.
However, fortunately, we don’t need leaders & heroes.
BE ONE YOURSELF 😎
Leaderless movements are more or less unstoppable.
Best wishes,
Mike

Immanuel Kant and the concept of enlightenment
by Suavek ( and Kant ).
The Enlightenment movement, which began either in the Renaissance or in the Baroque period, depending on your point of view, brought us progress in thinking, in the way we view our fellow human beings, and in self-identification and self-understanding as free citizens who have been given equal rights by God. The simultaneous scientific progress was only one element of the Enlightenment among many, but not the most important. The achievements of humanism were by no means secondary. The enlightened man had to understand first of all why he is free from birth, why he should be equal with his fellow men and before the law, and he had to be able to understand both the principle of fraternity and the potential and usefulness of this principle for all of us.
By the eighteenth century at the latest, the ideas of the Enlightenment were something revolutionary and new. The culmination point was the French Revolution, during which the people were able to free themselves from the tutelage of the parasitic elites.
Of course, this provoked the outrage of royal families and other rulers who feared for their power and property that they had previously stolen from the people. Now, in the 21st century, they continue to steal the people's property just as unchecked as they did back then. Whether it is bank bailouts or fake viruses that want to kill your grandmother, they continue to steal like ravens and within the ideology of neoliberalism (actually: neo-theft-ism) and distribute the money, as usual, from the bottom up, just like back then.
As part of the counter-enlightenment, the French Revolution is portrayed in the history books of both the former Eastern bloc and the West primarily as a bloodbath, and ordinary people as greedy monsters with no sense of justice. And as if that were not enough, attempts are being made to use this period as proof that ordinary people are too stupid and unfair to be able to govern themselves successfully. We know from Prof. Reiner Mausfeld that this is a lie, because a well-informed person generally makes very reasonable decisions. There are studies to prove this. The stupidity is therefore mainly due to the fact that some people are not provided with the necessary information. In this way, the perpetrators want to indoctrinate us to the point where we see the principle of equality (and fraternity) as idiotic relics from a bygone era.
Some aspects of the French Revolution were presented in an inflated manner, and the liberation of the people from the parasitic elites is presented somewhat inadequately, or at least ambiguously. However, since the beginning of the Enlightenment, the parasites have been working in the opposite direction, i.e. on the counter-enlightenment. The idea behind this, and still relevant today, is that the dumber (i.e. less informed) people are, the easier they are to exploit, manipulate, deceive and control. The fruits of this counter-enlightenment can be illustrated very well with a small example. If you ask people today what they understand by the term "enlightenment", you would quickly notice that this term has been deliberately distorted and its meaning forgotten. The average person now associates the term only with the sexual education of the 1960s. This shows that the propaganda and the system of stupidity controlled by the perpetrators, which many mistakenly call the "school system", has managed to almost completely eliminate the real concept of enlightenment. The same thing happened with the term "pandemic", which the WHO changed several times until it can now declare a fake pandemic for every cold.
The text below by Immanuel Kant will remind us of Dr Yeadon's foreword. The meaning of both statements seems to be quite similar.
Immanuel Kant : “Have courage to use your own understanding ! -that is the motto of enlightenment.”
Immanuel Kant
( Born in 1724 in Koenigsberg, Prussia, and died in 1804, there )
An Answer to the Question: What is Enlightenment?
( 1784 )
Immanuel Kant’s Text translated into English.
Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed immaturity. Immaturity is the inability to use one’s understanding without guidance from another. This immaturity is self-imposed when its cause lies not in lack of understanding, but in lack of resolve and courage to use it without guidance from another. Sapere Aude ! Have courage to use your own understanding ! -that is the motto of enlightenment.
Laziness and cowardice are the reasons why so great a proportion of men, long after nature has released them from alien guidance (natura-liter maiorennes), nonetheless gladly remain in lifelong immaturity, and why it is so easy for others to establish themselves as their guardians. It is so easy to be immature. If I have a book to serve as my understanding, a pastor to serve as my conscience, a physician to determine my diet for me, and so on, I need not exert myself at all. I need not think, if only I can pay: others will readily undertake the irksome work for me. The guardians who have so benevolently taken over the supervision of men have carefully seen to it that the far greatest part of them (including the entire fair sex) regard taking the step to maturity as very dangerous, not to mention difficult. Having first made their domestic livestock dumb, and having carefully made sure that these docile creatures will not take a single step without the gocart to which they are harnessed, these guardians then show them the danger that threatens them, should they attempt to walk alone. Now this danger is not actually so great, for after falling a few times they would in the end certainly learn to walk; but an example of this kind makes men timid and usually frightens them out of all further attempts.
Thus, it is difficult for any individual man to work himself out of the immaturity that has all but become his nature. He has even become fond of this state and for the time being is actually incapable of using his own understanding, for no one has ever allowed him to attempt it. Rules and formulas, those mechanical aids to the rational use, or rather misuse, of his natural gifts, are the shackles of a permanent immaturity. Whoever threw them off would still make only an uncertain leap over the smallest ditch, since he is unaccustomed to this kind of free movement. Consequently, only a few have succeeded, by cultivating their own minds, in freeing themselves from immaturity and pursuing a secure course.
But that the public should enlighten itself is more likely; indeed, if it is only allowed freedom, enlightenment is almost inevitable.

Categorical imperative
"Act only according to that maxim whereby you can at the same time will that it should become a universal law."
— Immanuel Kant
The categorical imperative (German: kategorischer Imperativ) is the central philosophical concept in the deontological moral philosophy of Immanuel Kant. Introduced in Kant's 1785 Groundwork of the Metaphysics of Morals, it is a way of evaluating motivations for action. It is best known in its original formulation: "Act only according to that maxim whereby you can at the same time will that it should become a universal law."

Grave of the philosopher Immanuel Kant in Kaliningrad. At that time the city was called Koenigsberg and was the capital of East Prussia.
The idiotic propaganda is currently abusing the whole of history and also Immanuel Kant. One of the stupid sentences I read in connection with him was (roughly): Vladimir Putin appreciates Immanuel Kant very much. But would Immanuel Kant also be able to appreciate Vladimir Putin? Professor Lumba from Cabumba ( or something like that ) thinks that is unlikely." When I read this, I immediately remembered the "fact-checkers" and their "safe and effective" narrative.
Censorship, in various forms, has been a part of the human experience for 2,500 years and has proven to be a recurrent presence in political thought, whether as active repression, as a formative context for expression, or itself as a subject of analysis and argument. From the death of Socrates to the fatwa against Salman Rushdie, attempts to silence thinkers, scientists, and writers have provoked passionate and often forceful responses that speak of their historical moment. Today's censorship in medicine is different from anything we have known in history. It is, in fact, deadly. It covers up mass murder very cleverly, otherwise this Substack would have been superfluous.

Just ‘following orders’ ?
Who in the medical profession stood firm against the moral disintegration ?
Oct 12, 2024
( … )
The medical profession was effectively conscripted to inject the population, with many vaccinators participating wholeheartedly in the destruction of personal autonomy and bodily integrity via coercive and mandatory vaccination.
( … )
Why did so few medical folk openly resist this travesty, which supported excluding from society critical-thinking people who refused to submit to this bodily assault?
This isn’t just about the vaccinators who inserted the needle. Other members of the medical profession not directly involved with vaccination stayed silent, despite witnessing obvious wrongdoing under coercion and mandates - the violation of voluntary informed consent for vaccination. They too ‘followed orders’ with their cowardly silence.
This prompted me to look for other examples of blindly ‘following orders’, for instance the My Lai massacre during the Vietnam War.
[ Editor´s note :
At this point the author writes a very interesting text, also about the few cases of insubordination. The entire article is highly recommended. ]
( … )
‘Covid’ was used as a cover to make the global population compliant, imposing subservience via on demand lockdowns, vaccination, testing, quarantine, and masking/muzzling, with people in many countries, e.g. Australia, having to ‘show papers’ to work and participate in society via the infamous ‘vaccine passport’.
It appears ‘Covid’ was an integral part of a plot to install a global totalitarian regime via the WHO, the UN, the World Economic Forum, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the Five Eyes, and others, to control and exploit the entire global population.
The collaboration of the medical profession was a key part of this dastardly plan that included capturing the population for eternal compliance to vaccination, testing, and masking/muzzling edicts, and constant surveillance.
The medical profession was conscripted to ‘follow orders’ that went against their legal, ethical and moral duty to obtain voluntary informed consent.

The power of political humor and satire as a means of resistance against oppression.
by Suavek
The Thinkers' Club was a fictitious association of professors and scholars in a caricature that was created in 1819 due to the abuses of the time, such as censorship and propaganda, 29 years before the German Revolution of 1848 that followed. The first phase of this revolution in 1848/1849 took place in March 1848. That is why it is also called the March Revolution ( https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deutsche_Revolution_1848/1849 ). The period before, when the caricature was created, is often referred to as the "Vormaerz" ( in Engl.: "pre-March period"). The caricature denounces the silence of the scholars, although the fight against the censorship introduced by the princes was so necessary at that time. The scholars only think, but do not speak, and wear the face masks as a symbol of their silence. You will find further explanations in part 1 of this series of articles:
https://suavek1.substack.com/p/the-stupidity-of-self-censorship?utm_source=publication-search
The same caricature was known throughout the German-speaking world at the time and was spread only with slight, country-specific differences. In part 1 of this article series I already presented you with another version.
The unknown caricaturist shows the suppression of freedom of expression by the political system shaped by the German Confederation, in particular by the so-called Carlsbad Decrees. The aim is to convey to the people that they should do something before the state has the upper hand over everything that affects the thoughts of each individual. The "Club" represents the many clubs and associations that were formed at that time within the emerging middle class, such as the scholars' clubs, or the artists, singing, hiking, shooting and gymnastics clubs. The eight professors shown in the picture wear the silence masks/muzzles on their faces, which illustrates the radical nature of the political system. Their writings have been banned, and now they only think without saying a word because they are too cowardly to speak, hence the "Thinkers Club" designation.
The Thinkers Club has put up a board with rules on the right wall, showing the extent to which the state intervenes in people's everyday thought processes. The fact that this board is hanging in the room at all, and not in a dustbin, shows that the professors want to follow the stupid rules like little children and and thus disqualify themselves as real thinkers. The rules are as follows:
the rules of the Thinkers' Club: I. The president opens the meeting at precisely 8 o'clock / II. The first rule of this learned society is silence. / III. So that no member may be tempted to let his tongue run free ... muzzles will be distributed upon entry. / IV. The subject which through mature reflection shall be thoroughly expounded at each meeting, is written in distinct capital letters on a board. / V. Each member of this society ... [ text obstructed from there ]
Above the professors' heads hangs the inscription (the question of the day) : "Important question to be considered in session today : How long thinking will remain permitted ?". In some other versions the text at this point reads: "How long shall we think?" This symbolized the time pressure under which the German people were. The Students understood these message and finally protested at the Hambach Festival in 1832.
The train to Hambach Castle. Colored pen lithograph, around 1832. The Hambach Festival of 1832 was the most important political demonstration in pre-March.

Contemporary Swiss caricature against the new laws restricting the freedom of press in Lucerne 1829. The text in the box reads: "How long will we be allowed to think?". This caricature is based on an earlier German version against the Carlsbad Decrees, 1820.

Afterword
by Suavek
Since 2020, free information has been increasingly suppressed by the perpetrators and their corrupt sycophants. The prevailing narratives have always only reflected the opinions permitted and desired by those in power. But this time, it is about much more. Knowledge of the crimes committed should not reach the public. The perpetrators’ paid helpers say something like: "We need to monitor hate speech on the internet because otherwise people's feelings will be hurt." Or, "We need to stop conspiracy theorists from spreading misinformation because otherwise people might doubt the official story." In conjunction with the self-imposed silence, something occurs to me that is not yet widely known. One of the most beautiful sayings that I associate with the law of psychosomatics is:
"To stay healthy, use the power of the free spirit. Don't allow this spirit to be restricted."
Please stay healthy.

A somewhat different kind of enlightenment. I don't know exactly how to phrase something like that...
At this point, I would like to sincerely thank the 10 people who have transferred a total of 645 USD to me this year. In the next article or the one after that, I would try to tell you what kind of sudden end awaits a Substack writer who, for over four years, instead of doing his job, has devoted himself to enlightenment, which is vital for many people. I just don't know how to express it yet. But I assume that any details are not important? At least it's not very funny. I would just like to mention here that even a donation of 5 euros can be very helpful, provided that this transfer does not take up too much time for the sender. Of course, I don't want to cause any stress or inconvenience to anyone.
I assure you that even donations like this can make a difference in the overall situation if several readers could take a few minutes to do so. If you come to the conclusion that the effort mentioned above is worthwhile, then I thank you very much in advance. I will soon write openly under an article about how this went. If you cannot find the time, then I thank you for taking the time to read the article. Sharing the enlightening texts is also important.
Please excuse me for writing about this !
Kind regards,
Suavek
