COP29 was, as expected, another chapter in the climate saga: “We’re saving the world – with your money” . The promise is great, the results are modest, and science continues to be exploited. But the colder Greenland ice cream is taking the hype out of the air.
The annual mega-spectacular COP29, where politicians and activists try to convince the world that it is doomed without trillions of dollars and "net zero" promises, took place this time in Baku. After long negotiations, a "generous" sum of $300 billion per year until 2035 was finally agreed to help developing countries cope with climate change. Great, isn't it?
But wait a minute – what actually happened to the countless billions that have already been paid out over the past few years? Has this slowed or even stopped climate change? For hundreds of millions of years, our planet has been subject to constant climate change. The CO2 levels in the atmosphere were usually many times higher than they are now, even though there was neither industry nor people back then.
Profiteers from the lucrative climate industry
How often has the alleged melting of the Greenland ice cream been used in alarmist politicians' speeches and hysterical editorials by leading presstitutes ( Editor's note: it is a German neologism that combines the words press/newspapers and prostitution. This neologism has been used quite frequently in Germany recently ) as evidence that our children and grandchildren will be burned to death by the sun during their lifetime if we don't immediately shift huge amounts of money around . Savings must be made primarily in the social areas as well as in education and health care, but the elderly also have to make their contribution to the fight against climate change with less pension.
The billions of sums saved in this way should then be thrown down the throats of the new beneficiaries of the climate industry that has sprouted up from the ground. It is probably the first time in world history that an entire country is spending a lot of money setting up a new industry for wind and solar energy, which then produces a product that is far less reliable (due to dark lulls) than the previous product ( Energy production from coal, gas, oil and nuclear), but makes the energy for households twice or three times more expensive.
And the whole thing is justified with reference to supposedly irrefutable scientific climate studies. These are created by an internationally networked conglomerate of academic and pseudo-academic climate institutes with the help of computer models that calculate the climate precisely up to the second decimal place up to the year 2100. Thanks to the abundant tax money flowing into this sector, the climate institutes enjoy a unique financial boom and high social reputation, while other faculties have to save money.
The climate institutes seem to deal primarily with humanities rather than with natural sciences, because as a rule they do not work with facts, but with - not infrequently - unrealistic assumptions about the future, which they then feed into their computer models the correct, namely fear-inducing, answer comes out. Because that increases the willingness of concerned parents to spend more on alleged climate protection and to pay higher CO2 taxes with gritted teeth, or to pay twice as high heating costs, in order to gratefully continue to vote for the same people who gave them all this in the next elections instead of chasing them all away.
The first dire consequences of this policy for the German economy can no longer be overlooked. And much of the damage done will no longer be able to be corrected. It is all the more urgent that state financial resources no longer disappear into the pockets of climate profiteers and their political representatives, but that we must invest again in affordable energy production. These would be real investments for the economic and social future of our country.
Let us free ourselves from artificially created climatic orgies and instead pay more attention to environmental damage, which is primarily caused by the “green industry”. Instead of being intimidated by the results of questionable computer models for the year 2100, we should focus on the real facts of the world around us. And in this regard, there was some encouraging news from Greenland last week, which – as you might expect – was deliberately overlooked by our self-proclaimed “quality media”.
The mainstream media has been evoking melting icebergs and pointing to the threat of sea level rise for years. But what if the reality is a little more sober? Recent studies (1) show that surface temperatures in Greenland have actually been cooling for 20 years. Yes, cool down! A full 0.11 C less, according to a study based on over 31,000 satellite measurements. The ice melting? It has slowed - so much so that one might almost think that the supposed "tipping point" is more marketing than science.

This is a deception, just like the “man-made climate crisis”. Because how else can you justify spending trillions to “save” a planet? However, Mother Earth does not follow the prescribed script. The Thai and Japanese scientists who analyzed the data even dare to cite natural climate fluctuations as the cause - an affront to the dogma of man-made guilt.
Back to Baku and COP29
The $300 billion plan sounds huge. But how are these funds used? Back in 2009, $100 billion per year was promised and a lot of money has flowed in the meantime, albeit less than planned. So far, however, there is no breakdown. The COP29 data does not provide any information on questions such as how much the recipient countries have spent on purchasing CO₂-saving technologies and machines from the donor countries. However, the suspicion is that, based on experience with funds for development aid, the donor countries have used this detour to redirect our aid and tax money to the domestic climate profiteers in order to make them even richer. The reality is sobering: Western companies will continue to benefit from so-called “green projects” in the Third World. A rogue who thinks of modern colonial politics.
Is it also certain that a good portion of the money ends up in local climate institutes and authorities before it inexplicably disappears into obscurity? Another part of the money will go towards administration or “consulting costs” for experts from the West’s climate institutes. These considerations about the final destination of the climate funds certainly played a role in the decision of the rich Arab sheikhdoms to block the increase in annual climate finance donations to one trillion dollars.
The hype about the apocalypse
Whether rising sea levels, burning forests or “climate refugees” – the climate movement loves apocalyptic scenarios. But how often have these horror scenarios proven wrong? Corals on the Great Barrier Reef are thriving in record numbers while Arctic sea ice is well on its way to recovery. Even in Antarctica, where the terrible ozone hole has long since disappeared, the data shows a cooling. But who wants to hear facts if they would deflate the lucrative green business model that is based on public panic.
COP29 was, as expected, another chapter in the “ We save the world – with your money” saga . The promise is great, the results are modest, and science continues to be exploited. While the citizens of donor countries foot the bill, the question remains: Wouldn't it make more sense to rely on honest science and real solutions instead of sinking billions into a bottomless pit? But hey, no donations without panic, and no “rescue” without donations. Welcome to the cycle of the climate industry.
